Gurkha Cigar Group Announces New Releases Showcased at the TAA Trade Show

TAMARAC, FL, October 30, 2024 – Gurkha Cigar Group, Inc showcased a few new releases at the 2024 TAA Trade Show and Convention in Aruba last week.

This year Gurkha is proud to present the Gurkha V by Oscar Valladares in the limited release exclusively to the TAA retail members. Limited to 1000 boxes, the Gurkha V by Oscar Valladares is a Honduran puro manufactured by Oscar Valladares in Honduras. This year’s TAA Exclusive Series Product dons a box pressed 6 1/8×52 torpedo in a 10 count blue box and carries an $18.95 MSRP. The Gurkha V by Oscar Valladares is slated to ship in January 2025.

Shipping soon to a retailer near you, Gurkha Year of Snake will be a brand new addition to stores across the United States of America. Gurkha Year of Snake will be in collaboration with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Oscar Valladares, and Oliva Cigar Co. and celebrates the 2025 Chinese New Year that begins next January. Housed in elaborate 10 count collectors edition humidors, these cigars adorn a decorative snake curled into a figure 8. “We loved the design that was presented to us incorporating the lucky number 8,” said Juan Lopez, VP of Sales at Gurkha Cigar Group. “Additionally, we were so happy with the collaborations from last year’s Year of Dragon, that we couldn’t wait to start another project with E.P. Carrillo, Oscar Valladares, and Oliva Cigar Co. We’re really excited about the Gurkha Year of Snake brands and we’re looking forward to everyone trying it.” Each box has been made into a 10 count humidor of various sizes and colors, and will be sold at $19.00 MSRP.

Gurkha Cigar Group Announces the Year of the Dragon by Oscar Valladares Now Shipping

TAMARAC, FL, October 7, 2024 – Gurkha Cigar Group Inc announced the fourth Year of the Dragon installment is now shipping to retailers.

Now shipping is the Gurkha Year of the Dragon by Oscar Valladares. Debuted at the PCA (Premium Cigar Association) Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada this past March, the four part Year of the Dragon by Gurkha Cigars is in partnership with different manufacturers of the industry. The first three releases of Gurkha Year of Dragon by AJ Fernandez and Ernesto Pérez Carrillo began shipping in April, while the fourth shipped out to retail partners in early August. The fourth and final installment is finally going out to retailers now: Gurkha Year of Dragon by Oscar Valladares.

The final installment of Gurkha’s Year of the Dragon is made by Oscar Valladares and housed in a 10 count, 6×52 toro cigar, yellow commemorative box. It adorns the same MSRP of $25 per cigar that the rest of the collection has held. The Gurkha Year of Dragon by Oscar Valladares is made in Honduras by Oscar Valladares. This is the first time in a long time that Gurkha has returned to Honduras for a cigar. “It’s been a while since we released a blend made in Honduras,” said Jim Colucci, President of Gurkha Cigar Group. “When Oscar [Valladares] came to visit us the first time, we immediately said we wanted to partner with him on something special, and so we did! It’s been a pleasure to work with the entire Oscar Valladares Team and we look forward to future partnerships.”

Gurkha Cigar Group Announces the Colección Especial Nicaragua is Now Shipping

TAMARAC, FL, September 17, 2024 – Gurkha Cigar Group International announced the Colección Especial Nicaragua 10 count boxes are now shipping to a retailer near you. Released late March at this year’s PCA (Premium Cigar Association) Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Colección Especial Nicaragua will soon be on retailer’s shelves and you wont’ have to wait any longer to try them for yourself.

Debuting in 2023 for the TAA (Tobacconist Association of America) Members exclusively, the Colección Especial Nicaragua is a friend to the Colección Especial that was released in 2022, you may remember, in the white box and made in the Dominican Republic. Contrasting that hybrid Connecicut wrapper, the Colección Especial Nicaragua has a deep, dark wrapper on this Nicaraguan Puro. The blend has a lot of earthiness and nuttiness with a beautiful sweet wrapper. Found in two different vitolas, the Toro is a 6 x 54 while the Pirámide is a 6 1/18 x 52 and both have an MSRP at $14.95.

You can find the unique boxes on a retailer’s shelf: they are two toned with a black, piano finish lid and a gold bottom. Gurkha Fantasma is a special product made specifically for the Spec’s Wine, Spirits, and Finer Foods retailer. The cigar is comprised of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and is made in the Dominican Republic. The Gurkha Year of the Dragon by Oliva Cigar Co. is a 6 1/2 x 60 Salomon housed in a 10 count Year of the Dragon Collector’s Edition humidor. The Gurkha Year of the Dragon by Oliva Cigar Co. is adorned in an orange band to match it’s box. The cigar is priced at $25.00 MSRP as is the rest of the collection. Released late March at this year’s PCA (Premium Cigar Association) Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, the 35th Anniversary 10 count box will soon be on retailer’s shelves.

Gurkha’s 35th Anniversary is now housed in a 10 count box. In 2023, Gurkha announced the celebration of their 35th Anniversary in 2024 with a limited edition collector’s Ferrari red humidor housing 75 cigars inside. Continuing the brand that was received so well, Gurkha has brought the 35th Anniversary to market in a 10 count box. Commented in a press release earlier this year: “After the huge success we had introducing the product in a humidor last year, we’re finally able to release the 10 count Gurkha 35th Anniversary in it’s 10 count format,” commented Juan Lopez, VP of Sales for Gurkha Cigars.
